Activities
More Than Just Childcare
At Strawberry Fields, we believe children thrive when they're given opportunities to try new things. That's why we offer a range of extracurricular activities alongside our EYFS curriculum — giving your child the chance to discover new passions, build confidence and develop skills they'll carry with them for life. All of our extracurricular activities are optional and paid for separately, so you can choose exactly what's right for your child.
Four Ways to Try Something New
All of our extracurricular activities are optional and paid for separately, so you can choose exactly what's right for your child.

Swimming Lessons
One of the things that makes Strawberry Fields truly unique is our connection to swimming. Preschool children in our Strawberries room have the opportunity to take part in structured swimming lessons — and children who attend the nursery benefit from a discounted rate.
Swimming is one of the most valuable life skills a child can learn, and starting early builds water confidence, physical coordination and resilience. It's also brilliant fun, and our children absolutely love it.
Tiny Dancers
Tiny Dancers brings the joy of movement and music into your child's week. Available for children in both the Blackberries and Strawberries rooms, these sessions help develop coordination, rhythm, social skills and self-expression through dance. It's creative, energetic and guaranteed to put a smile on their face.
Book Swappers
Our Book Swappers programme is all about fostering a love of reading from an early age. Preschool children take part in regular book-sharing sessions that encourage listening skills, imagination and early literacy. It's a wonderful way to get children excited about stories and set the foundation for a lifelong love of books.
Love to Learn
Love to Learn is designed specifically for our Blackberries toddlers. These structured sessions introduce early concepts in a playful, engaging way — building curiosity, attention span and a genuine enthusiasm for learning that carries through to preschool and beyond.
Why Extracurricular Activities Matter
Research shows that children who engage in a variety of activities during their early years develop stronger social skills, higher self-esteem and better cognitive flexibility. At Strawberry Fields, our extracurricular offering isn't an add-on — it's part of our commitment to giving every child the richest possible start in life.
Stronger Social Skills
Shared sessions with new faces and new routines build cooperation and confidence with others.
Higher Self-Esteem
Mastering something new — a stroke, a step, a story — gives children a real sense of achievement.
Cognitive Flexibility
Variety in how children learn helps them adapt, problem-solve and think in different ways.
